BOARD MEMBER: Mark Elford, Killdeer, SK
Mark ranches along with his wife Karin close to the Saskatchewan/Montana border. Mark and Karin enjoy their family which includes some grandchildren. They enjoy their church family and are involved as one of the teams that lead worship at their local congregation. Mark and Karin also travel to other congregations, when asked, to share through music and speaking. Mark was invited to join the board during the summer of 2015 and has committed to a two year term. He brings to the board a wide variety of boardroom experience from Credit Union and Coop to Agribition and several other livestock organizations. Mark comes on board to help in the establishment of Governance and Sustainability Policies for the future of Broken Arrow. He has a desire to see Broken Arrow achieve its potential.
BOARD MEMBER: Gina Stewart, Rockglen, SK
Gina, along with husband Lyle and 2 daughters, ranch 15 miles from Broken Arrow. Gina grew up in a ranching/rodeo family in the Wood Mountain area and has seen Broken Arrow Youth Ranch develop since its beginning stages. Gina is a direct communicator, who desires to help individuals learn to appreciate and value their differences. She is a Certified True Colors Facilitator, and conducts workshops for various organizations. She enjoys being involved with her local church, where she is involved on the worship team. Gina is passionate about making a difference in the lives of families and children. Recently she felt the call to go back to school! She is studying through Liberty University (on-line program) to complete her Bachelor of Science Degree, Majoring in Christian Counseling and Communications.
BOARD CHAIRPERSON: Louise Popescul, Glentworth, Sk.
Louise and her husband Wade ranch south of Glentworth, Sk. They have three grown children. Louise greatly enjoys the outdoors and working with animals; she is a skilled Veterinary Assistant, and generously shares her time, talent and skill with fellow ranching neighbours and friends. Louise is active in her local community and church. She enjoys being involved with the youth; she commits her time and energy each year planning an annual Youth Ski Trip. She is an active volunteer in our Health Region as a Certified Emergency First Responder. Together, Louise and Wade celebrated 30 years of marriage in 2017! They enjoy watching their sons complete in the sport of rodeo; as well, as enjoy being grandparents to their granddaughter, Rayla.
