Living at Broken Arrow Youth Ranch allows the opportunity  for our students to learn many life skills.  The students have responsibilities inside and outside.  Some of their inside responsibilities include doing their own laundry (older students) or assisting with their laundry (younger students); helping with cooking, meal preparations and baking; keeping their bedroom neat and tidy; and, helping with various household chores.  The outside responsibilities include learning how to properly care for animals on the ranch.  Our students work along-side ranch staff in the daily responsibilities of caring for the animals, the buildings and the property.  Throughout the year, students help with the feeding and caring for dogs, cats, horses and cows, fixing fence, hauling wood, picking bales, tending to the garden (planting, watering, weeding and harvesting).  Students accompanied by ranch staff also spend valuable time assisting our ranch neighbours with various jobs throughout the year.  There is always lots to learn and lots to do!
